1831 – Honzo Pharmaceutical Herbal Medicine was founded during Japan’s Edo period. For over 190 years, Honzo has been a trusted name in Kampo, the Japanese adaptation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Honzo’s products are supplied to hospitals, pharmacies, and health institutions across Japan, upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
1969 – AFC Japan was established by Asayama Tadahiko, a visionary entrepreneur with years of experience in sales and trade. AFC became the first company in Japan to receive GMP certification for food production, setting a new benchmark for quality assurance.
Over the decades, AFC has grown into one of the Top 5 supplement companies in Japan, with more than 40,000 registered products, 1,000 employees, and over 400 corporate clients.
